This UTSA-sponsored organization is home to eleven organizations, including four fraternities and seven sororities. To unite UTSA’s Mexican students, this organization offers character building activities, professional meetings, networking and community service opportunities. Mexican American Studies Student Organization Latino Roadrunners inspires young Latinos to be successful and leading members of the community through philanthropic efforts, by unifying a diverse population, by providing networking and by promoting excellence. The Latin Dance Society educates members about a variety of Latin dances, the history behind the music for each genre of dance and provides students with opportunities to perform. KDChi is dedicated in improving the local community through numerous service projects and volunteering opportunities. This student organization spreads its culture and teaches others the history of the story behind each dance. Membership is open to all majors and ethnicities however it has historically focused on encouraging persons of Latino origins to enter the accounting and finance professions. It creates opportunities, adds value and builds relationships for its members, the community and its business partners while expanding Latino leadership in the global workforce.
